I found something pretty sweet today (to keep this blog going on the environmental side)
I've run into a delima a few times now when it comes to my morals vs. things I want.
I'm trying to be as anti-comsumerist as possible these days
and I'm trying to cut down on the electronics I'm sending to the landfill
but I'm also a sucker for fancy gadgets like Blackberrys and iPods etc.

I found while randomly browsing around the good ole internet that you can not only find ridiculously low prices on iPods and other gadgets but also save them from being dumped in landfills (cutting down on methane immissions and other toxins) AND throw a finger to the consumer monster all at the same time! (awwfuckyadude)

they sell what are called "refurbished" items,
basically goods that have been taken off the shelf because of some flaw in packaging or a scuff mark or something retarded like that.
They are repaired by these companies and then sold at %70 off of retail value!
buying from places like dyscern keeps these products out of the landfill, where most of the unbought merchandise ends up (whadafuckinwaste)

I just got back from (drum roll)
A really shitty experience in Arizona
.. we'll get into details later,,
now for the big act

I've been getting environmental lately! like hella
reduce, reuse,recycle, refurbish
fuckin re-up fools!

did you know you that you can car-share these days?

well don't piss yourself with excitement just yet, I was just about to tell you,,
car sharing cuts down on overcrowding in the streets,
as well as reducing emissions and drive-by shootings (whhattt?)
basically, head on over to zipcar.com
and they give a credit card type thingy.
they have designated parking places all over a city near you
and with that card you swipe a little swipey post near the door
and again in a little slot by the wheel
and your stylish new ride starts right up for something like $10/hour!
no need for gas prices,,, no need for a car collection
ahhhhhhshit that's pretty sweet aye?

I'm not a slave to consumerism
and I'm gonna buy recycled stuff
and wear it
damnit

Wristcutters: A Love Story
this movie is AMAZING
it's about the afterlife for people who commit suicide
it includes a car that mysteriously erases anything from existance that you drop in the floor board, a no smiling policy, and a super cuddly love story
